Open Studio Route Dordrecht
On Saturday 16 and Sunday 17 March 2019 the Open Studio Route Dordrecht takes place. This weekend more than 50 professional visual artists and designers will open the doors of their studios to show their most recent works. Start-location is Pictura on Voorstraat 190 in Dordrecht.
My studio at Wijnstraat 119 will be open from 11:00 to 18:00 on both days. In the studio seven sculptures and two scale models of environment-sculptures will be exhibited.
Next to this I will present my recently published travelogue: Byzantijnse voetreis / Een verslag in dertien brieven (Byzantine Walking Tour / A Report in Thirteen Letters).
The Open Atelier Route is an initiative of Pictura and the Dordrechts Museum.
Every second weekend of September, the artist opens his studio (Wijnstraat 119, Dordrecht) to the public. Opening hours: Saturday 10 am – 6 pm, Sunday 12 am – 6 pm. Free entrance.
On request, Gerhard Lentink provides lectures in his studio (for up to 30 people) or at other locations such as museums, companies, schools, art circles and so on. In his lectures he highlights various aspects of his professional practice, his development as a visual artist, his travels and the theme and technique of his work.
In his studio he makes a tour with the audience along currently present sculptures, draft models, designs and working drawings. (Lectures elsewhere are accompanied by a powerpoint presentation.) The lectures usually have an informal and animated character and often evoke a lot of appreciation from a surprised audience.
